Another perfectly crafted dock was built on a canal leading to the Lake Speer in Windermere FL, in Eden Isle subdivision.
Built in September 2015.
It’s a newly built 24x24 Custom cantilevered dock with 10x24 boat slip, and with 26.5x26 gable roof over entire structure.
8 feet of walkway and 9 feet of closed riser stairs are leading to 14x24 feet covered activity deck, double rail picketed hand railings are on both sides of the access walkway.
8x8 posts were used as foundation for the dock, and all # 1 2x lumber as framing.
Back row of 8x8 posts is surrounded by 18 ton concrete counterweight to prevent the dock from tipping over into the lake once the boat is lifted out of the water.
2x6 tongue and groove PT retaining wall was built across the front and both sides of the dock to prevent shoreline erosion.
Open frame gable roof serves as roof and as a support to lift a the 3 ton boat out of the water.
Vaulted ceiling and gable ends are finished with T1-11 pine siding from inside and with Hardie Board from outside.
8x8 roof posts are decorated with decorative 2x8 boards on top and the bottom.
6x6 posts were used as walkway foundation, and are decorated with 6x6 decorative blocks.
AZEK “SLATE GRAY” composite decking was screwed with hidden fasteners.
AZEK “KONA” composite decking was used as a skirt board around perimeter of the decking. This is our favorite finishing touches.
Solid color stain was used to protect all exposed wood from weathering and extend the lifetime of the dock.
Low voltage electrical installation was performed by in-house licensed electrician.
Pluming with potable water was run to the dock and copper/brass outdoor shower fixture was installed.
Boat hoist and cradle was installed to lift the boat and Jet Skis out to the water.
